                                          That's what friends are for...

To show my gratitude for over 30 years of friendship and for her 60th birthday present I surprised my dearest friend with a trip to Fiji.

We pampered

We caved

The white specs are actual diamonds...

Yes 'tis the Cannibals oven

Can you see the woman lying upside down?

We went on Safari..
http://www.sigatokariver.com/ This is an absolute must do if you ever go to Fiji .Please visit the website.
It was the best part of our entire trip.

We visited Temples

ate amazingly tasty treats....

went on bus rides...

visited markets and bought exotic fruits

A cave of swallows hatching out of the nest.

We visited villages with such friendly people.
It was a fabulous time for two old girls...

This is called sour sop and it tastes amazing a light fragrant slightly sour taste with a fibrous texture..

We made our own coconut milk for the raw fish in lemon and coconut milk

We spent 2 nights on a tropical Island...

and 2 nights at a luxury resort ...can you see the guy up the tree getting the coconuts ?
We snorkeled...

we sang

and we danced

and we watched the sun go down.

We ate beautiful meals...and we enjoyed and celebrated a long and happy friendship...

Friendship isn’t a big thing — it’s a million little things.

I encourage you to spend a little more time with a precious friend.

I lost a very dear friend a little over a year ago she would have been a grandmother now ...I miss her so much  but have learned to value the time I have with my other dear friends.

When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares. ~Henri Nouwen
